This lighthouse can be found on the University of Connecticut Avery Point Campus. You can enjoy beautiful views of Long Island Sound while walking on the brick path that winds its way around the campus.

Project Oceanology

Project Oceanology is located on the Avery Point Campus. It is a research hub where elementary and high school students can go on seal watches on the Long Island Sound. They teach marine science programs and hold camps!

Groton Monument

The Groton Monument was built in 1830. It underwent repairs in 1893. Lightning struck the monument in 1918! Tourists gather to hear the history of the monument and even climb to the top! The view from the top of the monument is amazing!

US Submarine Veterans of WWII National Memorial

This a memorial for the Veterans of WWII; dedicated to 3,617 veterans(submariners) there are 52 archways representing the submarines lost. The memorial was made in 1956.
